Jeremiah Jones
Jeremiah Jones is a husband, father, pastor, songwriter, worship leader and a pursuer of things after God’s heart. Rooted in local and regional church planting movements in the Southeast for the past 15 years, Jeremiah has been lending his voice to the Church as both a songwriter and touring worship artist, challenging a generation of Christ followers to live the words they sing. Recently one of Jeremiah's songs, What A Savior, landed on the Catalyst Music Project. The song is performed by singer/songwriter Laura Story (Indescribable) of INO Records and is produced by Nathan Nockels (Watermark, Passion).
What A Savior was taken from Let It All Be For You, a worship album released in 2009 by Radius Church. It was recorded with the great musicians that play at Radius and produced with guidance and direction of Kenny McWilliams, formerly of Baumer. The songs range from the straight ahead rock of Holy Is the Lord Most High to the stripped down live acoustic version of Blessed Redeemer.
Jeremiah is currently recording a new collection of songs with friend and fellow musician/producer Kenny McWilliams at Archer Avenue Studios in Columbia, SC. Restoration EP will be released independently August of 2010, and will feature fresh work as well as some well worn, time-tested material. As a worship leader and songwriter, Jeremiah is constantly working to provide the Church with songs that restore people to the presence of God. "My goal in writing is both to serve the song and the truth with a particular audience in mind," he says. "I believe the Church needs great songs inspired by the scriptures to convey person and character of God truthfully. My hope is to serve the Church with songs that will last, songs that help restore His presence to all people."
With this new project comes a polished ensemble of worship songs revealing a sensiblity that is part singer-songwriter/part rock 'n roll. From songs like "It's Your Grace That Saves Me", a very singable acoustic-pop tune, to the surprisingly up-tempo, electic guitar driven rock song "Loved So Greatly", Jeremiah brings together his acoustic roots and his love for alternative rock and roll.
He currently serves Radius Church in Greenville, and in Columbia, SC where he lives with his wife Becca, and two children, Jackson and Lila.
